DAAD is following the developments regarding the spread of the coronavirus and its consequences with great concern. DAAD President Prof. Mukherjee expressed his concern and at the same time called for solidarity among people:
Universities around the world are closed, of course also in Germany and Vietnam. In view of the rapidly increasing number of infections in Germany, the Federal Government announced the contact ban, which means no gathering of two people in public places in Germany. In DAAD in Bonn work is now mostly done from home office, as in many DAAD offices worldwide.
In Vietnam, wise precautionary measures have been taken at an early stage that have prevented a sharp increase in the number of infected cases such as in China, Europe or the United States. For this reason, the DAAD office in Hanoi and the DAAD information center in Ho Chi Minh City continue working normally, but without personal consulting. We regularly offer consultations and webinars regarding studying in Germany and our scholarships online as well as by e-mail and by telephone. Dates and Information can be found on our website at www.daad-vietnam.vn/lienhe.
We have established regulations for our scholarship holders in Vietnam and Germany to provide them with the best possible support. You can find them at www.daad.de/de/coronavirus.
We are always available to answer your questions.
We hope that you get through this difficult time and stay healthy!
