German is one of ten different languages currently taught at the National University of Laos (NUoL). NUoL is the only university and, in fact, the only institution in Laos where German can be learnt. The German department is located on the Dong Dok campus of the National University in Vientiane and offers a four-year Bachelor’s course in German. The DAAD supports the German department with a DAAD lectureship that will be reoccupied at the winter term 2021/22 after a longer vacancy.
